When you create a website on Squarespace, you automatically opt-in to allowing AI bots to train their models by crawling your site. This also means that your site can be recommended in AI search results (for example, searching ChatGPT for “brand designers in Minneapolis”).

There are pros and cons to both allowing AI to crawl your site and blocking AI from this task. We’ll dive into this deeper in a different video! In the meantime, take a look at the bots that are allowed to crawl your Squarespace site and watch the video to disable this function.
